Shien knew a little about Moon Demon Sela.

It was said that among the God Race, there was a Sun Goddess who governed light and heat, yet there was no Goddess of the Moon.

Thus, since ancient times, people had believed that the moon was governed by Moon Demon Sela.

Because the Moon Demon was the eldest daughter of the Six Great Demon Lords and the foremost figure beneath the Demon King, her status among demonkind was extraordinarily lofty. Even the other five Demon Lords willingly deferred to her and generally cooperated with her policies.

Furthermore, this Moon Demon possessed power comparable to a Demon Lord even in her normal state. On nights when a full moon hung overhead, her strength would surge to the point where even the Goddess of Fate, known as the closest to omnipotence, could only hold a slight advantage over her.

During the final battle a thousand years ago, the God Race and humanity had chosen to fight during the day in order to seal Moon Demon Sela's power. As a result, the Moon Demon had needed to join forces with the Succubus Demon to withstand the Goddess of Fate, only to be suppressed by her.

Had it been nighttime then, Moon Demon Sela alone might have been able to hold off Goddess of Fate Lidas. Even if she had been at a disadvantage, it would not have been easy for Goddess of Fate Lidas to defeat her.

For all these reasons, people generally believed that the moon, symbolizing the night, was the incarnation of that Moon Demon.

The demons, in particular, firmly believed this.

In that case, it was not strange for them to regard the Moon Demon as a deity and worship her when the full moon rose.
