It was the long-lost sensation of the world spinning around him.
A familiar dizziness assaulted his brain, making Shien seem to lose consciousness for several seconds. It was as though he had been thrown into invisible water, drifting with the current, never able to reach his destination.
Fortunately, the sensation came quickly and went quickly.
Once the dizziness faded, Shien came to his senses and hurriedly raised his head.
The moment he did, Shien saw a similarly familiar building.
It was a solemn, sacred temple.
It was the sight he had seen when he had first arrived in this world.
And in the very center of the temple stood that breathtaking figure, as though she had existed eternally, unchanged through the ages.
Her face was filled with helplessness.
"So, my existence was exposed after all."
The Goddess named Nien muttered this as though she were deeply displeased.
Shien fell silent, staring fixedly at the Goddess before him, completely unsure what to say for a moment.
It could not be helped.
He really had not seen this Goddess in a long time.
"Don't blame me." As always, Nien saw through Shien's thoughts. Still looking somewhat helpless, she said, "If I could have avoided it, I wouldn't have wanted this either."
Before this, Nien had been enthusiastically preparing to "learn" something, apparently so she could "do" something with Shien.
But then she had suddenly vanished without a trace, making Shien quite suspicious.
Yet Nien had no choice but to temporarily reduce her contact with Shien during this time.
"The God Race has begun investigating the Hero Summon. The Goddess of Life isn't particularly troublesome, but she is patient enough to keep investigating. I had to divide my attention to monitor her, which already took considerable effort. Who would have thought
