Nien's identity was extremely mysterious.
The God Race knew nothing of her existence.
The demonkind knew nothing of her existence either.
No one in the world knew that such a Goddess existed, much less that this Goddess was actually the cross-world, large-scale magical ritual known as the Hero Summon itself. The summoning authority she governed could not only summon Heroes from Another World, but even connect to them and call them to her side at any time.
Yet her true origin was not merely the magical ritual known as the Hero Summon. She was also the incarnation of all the obsessions Supreme God Omnis held toward the First Generation Hero.
As a result, she had lived unknown to anyone for countless years, all the way until now.
Shien looked at the Goddess with mixed feelings, finally understanding a little.
"Do you hate Supreme God Omnis because she stuffed all her pain and despair into you?"
Shien hesitated before voicing those words.
But Nien shook her head.
"Though I was born from pain and sorrow, she is still my Mother Goddess. I would not resent her over that alone."
As Nien said this, her hand had somehow clenched into a fist.
She could not help it.
"What I truly could not accept was that after the First Generation Hero died, that Goddess seemed to lose interest in everything. All she wanted was revenge against the Demon King, to defeat the Demon King. For that, she completely disregarded my feelings and treated me as nothing more than a tool to summon Heroes."
Nien's voice gradually began to tremble.
"Can you imagine what it feels like to be born without ever seeing your Mother Goddess, to be cast into some corner of the world like an object, undiscovered and ignored for countless years?"
