Shien stayed in the royal capital to study rare magic and grew closer to Roxie while investigating suspicious activity near the city. They defeated a colossal monster, but its body vanished, leaving the purpose of the ritual unresolved.

• Limjo confessed that Barry had planned to lure Shien into Streim territory, kill him, and take credit, then approached Shien with an apology and learned he would spend a month in the capital.
• Shien agreed to help Aiyi eliminate the Old Demon Faction after a month, while Vivian, Tier, Merika, and Lumya arranged to remain in the capital with him.
• Vivian gave Shien his adventurer medal, and Limjo apologized for Barry’s conduct before Shien met Roxie and Ria, who tested him and then accepted Roxie’s judgment of him.
• Roxie gave Shien temporary access to the underground Magic Library, where he learned Celestial Magic and Enchantment Magic and reached the maximum level in both.
• Roxie took Shien outside the city to investigate restless monsters and suspicious demons connected to Jacinta, and they found a mountain involved in a large-scale ritual.
• A colossal level 90 monster emerged from the mountain, and Shien and Roxie fought it as it regenerated from their attacks.
• Shien trapped the monster with Enchantment Magic, and Roxie unsealed Heresu and bisected it with a golden slash.
• Shien and Roxie approached the monster’s corpse, but it turned illusory and vanished without leaving anything behind.

Shien learned that a new Demon Lord was being engineered and that Nien had summoned him for her own purpose, while the investigation brought him into contact with Aiyi, Laisha’s servant Lasha, and Jacinta. When Shien entered sealed Arutol Canyon to investigate its violent monsters, Falpiweng Galuoli secretly sent House Galuoli’s forces after him.

• Shien confronted Nien about his Hero Summon, learned Omnis was asleep and a new Demon Lord was being created, then was kissed and sent away as Nien revealed he was her anchor.
• Laisha confronted Nien over the Hero Summon, but Nien swallowed her with distorted space and mourned Shien after he was gone.
• Shien and Roxie questioned Jacinta about the dragon-winged monster, and Jacinta warned that those who wanted to use it might soon act.
• Lasha arrived seeking Shien because Laisha had gone missing, then stayed with him and explained that Laisha had created her as a loyal Magic Life.
• Aiyi appeared before Jacinta, ordered him to handle the matter involving the monster, and said she would remain in the Human Realm beside an interesting existence.
• Shien and Aiyi went to Arutol Canyon, where Shien challenged the Kingdom Knights’ obstruction and kicked Rysseg after he drew his sword.
• Falpiweng let Shien enter the canyon, then ordered House Galuoli’s Black Knight Faction and Kifgus and Katli to kill him.

Shien and Aiyi uncovered House Galuoli’s role in the Demon Refining Ritual and fought their way through Arutol Canyon to rescue Vivian’s Squad. After Shien saved Tier from her berserk transformation, the group camped in the canyon, where Tier began telling him a story.

• Shien and Aiyi discovered that a Demonoid Larva’s ritual was driving monsters to kill and absorb one another, and Shien vowed to punish House Galuoli for involving people close to him.
• Shien and Aiyi fought through the canyon, defeated the Black Knights, and Shien destroyed the nobles’ camp with a meteor shower, killing Falpiweng and his allies.
• Shien met Jacinta, Jess, and Lis, learned they were hunting the Demonoid Larva, and agreed that Jacinta would handle it while he and Aiyi investigated House Galuoli.
• Georido’s forces cornered Vivian’s Squad and wounded Tier, but Shien arrived, healed the squad, and killed the attackers before Tier transformed and struck him.
• Vivian explained that Tier’s horn activated a mana-absorbing Unique Skill that made her lose control, so Shien bound Tier and broke off the horn with the Holy Sword.
• Tier recovered, and Shien led Vivian’s Squad toward the canyon’s outskirts before deciding they should camp there for the night.
• Shien concealed and warmed the campsite, and Tier joined him in the pool and began telling him a story.

Shien saved and tamed Yulin, then exposed House Galuoli’s crimes and gained the Kingdom’s recognition. As he agreed to become an honorary viscount and make the royal capital his base, Roxie offered him her estate and their relationship grew closer.

• Tier revealed her painful past to Shien, including her mother’s betrayal, her family’s rejection, and her determination to defeat Aridia.
• Tier trusted Shien with her true face and pledged herself to him, explaining that her Goddess of Fate’s Blessing had shown her his potential.
• Shien subdued the black dragon resisting the Demon Refining Ritual and used Taming to help it refine the power within it, raising it to level 99.
• The dragon chose Shien as its master, and he named her Yulin and accepted her as his companion despite Aiyi’s offer to take her to the Demon Realm.
• Yulin attacked and killed Vasco and the nobles who had hunted Tier, while Shien and his companions prepared to leave Arutol Canyon.
• Shien accused House Galuoli of colluding with the Old Demon Faction, and the Kingdom stripped several noble houses of their titles, reorganized the Kingdom Knights, and sealed the canyon.
• Roxie persuaded Shien to accept honorary nobility as a viscount, and Shien’s companions began considering a future together in the royal capital.
• Shien received an estate in the noble district that Roxie had arranged for him, and the two embraced and moved to kiss.
