Although his bluff had gotten off to a bad start, this was Kraft. How could a little setback possibly stop him from shifting the blame? The corners of his mouth curled into a contemptuous smile.
"Obviously, this face is a disguise. I don't want too many people knowing my real identity, especially since that Eddie Brock used to be a reporter."

A thin mask peeled away with his movement, revealing a somewhat goofy-looking face beneath.
"Heh heh~ Good thing I had another backup ready."
Kraft had already considered the possibility of someone seeing through his disguise, so he had given himself three layers. Even if he removed the holographic mask that now looked like Peter Parker, there was a third holographic mask underneath that he could adjust to whatever face he wanted.
There was no denying it: Kraft had a real gift for framing other people.
"What deal?" Riot leaned his grayish-white head closer and asked mockingly, "You want to use us to rule the world too?"
"I'm not interested in conquering the world." Wearing Peter's face, Kraft curled his lip. "But I am interested in your symbiotes' remarkable regenerative abilities. You should already know from Drake that I developed a Regeneration Serum."
Since Riot knew about Peter Parker, that conveniently saved Kraft the trouble of explaining.
"But that Regeneration Serum isn't very effective, so I'm hoping to find a breakthrough through you."
"You want to use us as test subjects?!"
The enraged Riot rammed his head against the energy barrier, sending ripples across it.
The symbiotes had encountered beings who wanted to study them before. Whether they ultimately won or lost, their kind always lost large numbers of their fellows in such encounters.
Although symbiotes
