Getting his hands on the Orb went surprisingly smoothly. Peter Quill had no idea what was inside it, but after he and Kraft exchanged the money and goods, he still asked out of curiosity.

"Is there something special about this thing? Besides the Broker, Ronan the Accuser is looking for it too."

Kraft glanced at Peter Quill. Whether or not that was meant as a warning, Kraft had no intention of telling him the truth.

It wasn't that he feared Peter Quill would back out. Knowing too much simply wouldn't do his fellow Earthling any good.

"I'm acting on someone else's behalf too, and they're offering a much higher price than that Broker guy." Kraft gave Peter Quill an enigmatic smile. "I can't give you the exact figure, but it definitely has a few more zeroes than a hundred and fifty thousand."

"What?!"

Peter Quill was furious, though his anger wasn't directed at Kraft, but at the Broker who had quoted them that price.

"That swindler! How dare he cheat the Ravagers!"

"He might not have been cheating you. Maybe he really thought the Orb was only worth that much."

Kraft shrugged and offered a word in defense of the stranger. There didn't seem to be many people who knew about the Infinity Stones...

Well, actually, there seemed to be quite a few...

Thinking back over the people he knew who were aware of them, there were already plenty on Earth alone.

Rather than dwell on the question, Kraft shifted the conversation to Peter Quill himself.

"How did you leave Earth? And how did you join the Ravagers? Most Ravagers don't exactly have a good reputation... though I don't really have any right to say that, being a pirate myself..."
