Gamora and Peter Quill stared at each other for a moment. Suddenly, she reached for her waist, drew her blade again, and pressed it against Star-Lord's neck, while turning the gun in her other hand toward Kraft a short distance away.
"Sorry, as you can see," Star-Lord said, shrugging helplessly at Kraft with a blade once again held to his neck, "I'm being forced into this too. I'm a victim here."
"Shut up!"
Gamora was thoroughly fed up with Star-Lord's nonsense. She pressed the blade down slightly to stop him from talking, then said to Kraft, "Hand over the Orb!"
"The Orb?" Hearing that, Star-Lord had something else to say. "If I'd known you were looking for the Orb, I wouldn't have sold it to Kraft!"
"You're the one who sold the Orb to the Death Vanguard?"
Gamora froze for a moment, then immediately remembered that the Ravagers had indeed taken a commission from the Broker to find the Orb. It had ultimately ended up in the space pirates' hands, though, so she had overlooked that detail.
"Yeah, I sold it for a hundred and fifty thousand, the same price the Broker offered. Only after I'd sold it did this kid tell me it was worth more!" Peter Quill looked bitterly regretful. "If I'd known, I would've asked for more!"
"Do you know how much Talia Tivan, the Collector on Knowhere, offered for the Orb?" Gamora looked at Peter Quill as though he were an idiot.
"How much?"
Peter Quill was also very curious about how much the thing was actually worth, and why big names like Ronan and Tivan all wanted to get their hands on it.
"Four billion."
Gamora softly uttered a number that made Peter Quill question his hearing.
"How much?!"
