Nick Fury waited for several days, until Kraft had almost forgotten about the Human Torch. Only then did the Invisible Woman, Susan, finally realize something was wrong.

It wasn't that Susan didn't care about her younger brother. Johnny was a grown man, and as his older sister, she couldn't keep tabs on him every moment of the day. Besides, she was living with Reed now, not her brother, so it was perfectly normal for her to be a little slow to react.
