Reed Richards felt helpless.
Once the dog in Armor stopped fighting them and instead flew up into the sky to hurl abuse, Reed had no way to deal with him.
Apart from the Human Torch, the other three members of the Fantastic Four could not fly, and the Invisible Woman, who excelled at ranged attacks, had to devote her full attention to maintaining the force field trapping the little black cat.
Although Mister Fantastic could stretch any part of his body indefinitely and could theoretically reach Quinn in the sky, he was no match for Quinn's Xiaotian Armor in either agility or speed.
As for the Thing, Ben Grimm, that went without saying. Lumbering as he was, he was good for little besides being a meat shield.
So the three of them-or, more precisely, the two chasing Quinn-could only endure a dog's foul-mouthed abuse while trying every possible way to drag him out of the sky.
The two had actually tried ignoring Quinn and charging straight into Kraft's home, but whenever they did, Quinn would go after Susan, the Invisible Woman, who could not move while keeping Bea restrained.
The situation abruptly reached a stalemate...
But that was only true for the Fantastic Three, Minus One. As far as Quinn was concerned, he could not have been happier. The stupid cat had been caught, and he could swear to his heart's content. Throw in a serving of fragrant fried chicken, and it would be perfect!
Phil Coulson felt helpless too.
Things did not seem to be unfolding quite as S.H.I.E.L.D. had planned.
According to the scenario he and Nick Fury had envisioned, the cat and dog should have been beaten by the Fantastic Three, Minus One, forcing Kraft, who was hiding behind them, to come out and fight in person.
