Eddie Brock pressed the doorbell at Kraft's house, his heart full of apprehension.

By now, Eddie knew that the mysterious person who had captured him and Riot was Kraft. Kraft himself had even volunteered that information through the Mutant Brotherhood, and Eddie had wisely kept it to himself after finding out.

Kraft had already extended an olive branch. Wouldn't Eddie be asking for death if he still refused to take the hint?

So, after learning about the Human Torch incident, Eddie Brock gritted his teeth and decided to come interview Kraft in person-and, while he was at it, confirm whether Kraft would come looking for trouble with him again.

Before coming over, Eddie had specifically asked Pietro to give Kraft a heads-up, and Kraft had agreed to the interview.

But his previous experience on Kraft's operating table had left far too deep an impression on Eddie Brock. Just thinking about meeting that terrifying boy again still made him uneasy.

"You're such a coward, Eddie," Venom mocked him from inside his body, as usual. "With me here, you won't die even if he dissects you again. What's there to worry about?"

"Aren't you afraid he'll use ultrasound against us?"

Eddie rolled his eyes and countered.

"What would he gain?" Venom understood the situation far better than Eddie. "Never mind that he already has Riot, a symbiote stronger than me, to study. Have you forgotten what he asked us when he first found us? For all we know, the rest of my kind are already in his hands. What difference would one more make?"

"Fine... I guess you have a point."

Eddie accepted Venom's reasoning and finally felt less terrified than he had at first.
