Fenrir shook his head and climbed off the ground. At the sight of Thor and the others, he immediately crouched low, bared his gleaming white teeth, and began to growl.
"You made the wrong choice, puppy!"
Thor stepped forward, channeling his divine power. Lightning began to coil around him, and even his eyes shone with a dazzling electric glow.
But before he could attack Fenrir, Thor saw a little girl running toward the wolf at incredible speed with her arms spread wide. She rose onto her tiptoes and reached out to stroke the growling Fenrir's nose.
"Good doggy~ Good doggy~"
"Hey! Watch out!"
Thor hurriedly shouted a warning and lunged toward Arale, trying to save her from Fenrir's jaws.
"Huh?"
Hearing Thor's shout, Arale turned around. When she saw him charging toward her, covered in lightning, she stretched out an arm and waved to him.
"How are you?"
Just as Arale turned to greet him, Fenrir opened his enormous maw and snapped down on her.
"No!"
Thor was a moment too late. He could only watch as Fenrir's sharp teeth sank into the poor little girl...
And shattered into pieces.
"Huh?"
Thor stared blankly at the little girl. Not only had Fenrir's bite left her completely unharmed, but she was laughing as she willingly climbed into his mouth.
After climbing into Fenrir's mouth, Arale grabbed his upper jaw with both hands and forced his mouth open. Then she craned her neck and peered curiously down his throat.
"Hello! Anyone there?!"
Arale shouted down Fenrir's throat, then tilted her head to listen for an echo.
Naturally, the only answer she received was Fenrir's roar.
But that did nothing to spoil Arale's fun. A second later, she burst into laughter, apparently finding this game very entertaining.
