Kraft released the hand pinning Professor Agasa down and sidestepped the vase Ai hurled at him. "Could you let me explain?" he asked helplessly. "I really don't belong to whatever organization you're talking about..."
"...Ai? Have you misunderstood something?"
Unlike Ai Haibara, Professor Agasa wasn't deeply traumatized by the organization, so he could judge Kraft's behavior more objectively...

There were plenty of holes in that excuse, but Kraft's attitude was so unlike an organization member's that those holes hardly seemed to matter. Professor Agasa soon believed his story.
Although Ai Haibara remained somewhat wary, she stopped throwing things at Kraft.
