Watching the two brats scramble away, Mu En couldn't hide the mischievous grin on his face.
"Sir, what was that just now..." Harry asked in a low voice, a little embarrassed.
Mu En shook his head, waving his hands. "How would I know? Don't ask me about these things. I'm just an ordinary person."
Harry didn't believe him at all. An ordinary person wouldn't encourage him for what he just did; on the contrary, they would feel fear and anger.
"They felt fear because those actions were beyond their comprehension," Mu En explained, holding out a hand.
"So, this is normal for you?" Harry suddenly realized that this uncle had asked him earlier if he was a wizard, a mage, or something else.
Mu En looked at Harry. "It's alright. I've seen a lot, so what you just did wasn't much to me."
"So, sir... what am I?!" Harry asked, his confidence wavering as he looked down at his hands.
What exactly was within him...
"Grab the shovel and dig, brat. Don't pull any stunts like that," Mu En said unceremoniously.
"Oh, sorry." Harry snapped back to reality and quickly apologized.
Seeing Harry return to his work, he continued, "That's the power of magic, kid. You're a wizard, a born wizard."
Suddenly, Harry felt the world freeze. The breeze stopped, the clouds in the sky became still, and even his own movements felt stiff.
"I-I-I... I... Sorry, sir, what did you say?" Harry stammered.
"Wizard!" Mu En said again, spreading his right hand. A ball of flame ignited on his palm.
Harry forgot to breathe. The arm Mu En had rolled up his sleeve on was covered in runes Harry didn't understand, and the flame on his hand was like a scene from a dream.
Snap—
He clenched his fist, and the flame vanished.
"Just showing you a little. I can't reveal too much, or I might get caught by the Ministry of Magic."
"What's the Ministry of Magic?" Harry asked, staring blankly at Mu En's clenched fist.
"I don't know. Probably some evil organization. They tried to kidnap me last time. If Lucifer hadn't cast a shielding spell, they might have found this place."
He knew almost nothing about this world, not even how the Ministry of Magic found him. Didn't he just fly around the sky above London? Suddenly, he was caught.
Damn it, he wasn't streaking, so why would they arrest him?
But fortunately, even though he didn't know how the Ministry of Magic found him, those guys hadn't found his lair yet.
"So, can I do that too? Make flames appear on my hands?" Harry asked with a hint of anticipation in his eyes.
"I don't know," Mu En shook his head.
This world seemed to use sticks to cast magic...
And they were small sticks, like chopsticks.
Then, Harry asked many more questions, and Mu En's answers were always the same:
"I don't know." "I'm not sure." "Who knows."
Yet, Harry was still happy. At least this gentleman didn't show any impatience, apart from constantly calling him "kid" and maintaining that expressionless face, he felt this uncle was quite nice.
"Alright." Mu En clapped his hands, signaling Harry to bring out the fully dug Moonpetal Flower. Harry carefully held the cluster of flowers, waiting for Mu En's next instruction.
"Come in," Mu En said, leading the way.
"Okay." Harry was a little nervous, then looked back at Number 4, Privet Drive.
He vaguely felt that inside the house at Number 13, it was a different world from here.
With that thought, he braced himself and walked in, filled with fear and anticipation.
The room was a mess. Flames burned calmly in the fireplace, and a broom leaned against the door. Various items were piled up haphazardly. As soon as Harry saw it, he looked at Mu En, dressed in a sharp, well-fitting suit, with disbelief.
It was hard to imagine...
As Mu En closed the door, Harry noticed a circular dial on the upper right corner of the door.
The dial was divided in half, one side brown and the other a lush green. A pointer lay across the middle of the brown dial.
Then, he saw Mu En twist the doorknob.
Ding—!
The pointer turned, making a crisp, pleasant bell-like sound, and then it turned to the green side.
Mu En opened the door again, and Harry's eyes widened. Outside the door was not Privet Drive, but a patch of green grass, and further ahead, a cliff.
Mu En raised an eyebrow and stepped outside.
"What are you waiting for? Hurry up and come over," Mu En said.
Harry stiffly hopped down the small steps and looked back, only to realize he was standing in a castle about four or five stories high, seemingly pieced together from various residences. He even saw abstract eyes, ears, and mouths on the castle.
Lucifer chose a very good location; it was deep in the mountains. The main body of the castle was hidden at the edge of tall redwoods, facing a meadow, with a cliff beyond. The scenery was beautiful, and it allowed the Moonpetal Flower to efficiently absorb moonlight.
"Let's get started. Transplant the flowers," Mu En ordered unceremoniously.
"Uh... Ah, okay." Harry responded dazedly, still reeling from the shock.
Mu En chose a good spot and tossed the shovel to Harry, letting him do the work himself before returning to the house.
Seeing that no one was around, Harry grew bolder. His thoughts began to wander, and he occasionally glanced at the castle hidden within the redwood forest.
Magical spells, a grand castle, and...
Harry looked down the cliff face. The wind blew, revealing the scar on his forehead. Below the cliff was an endless sea of green, and beyond the distant mountains, even more majestic peaks.
It was a landscape he had never seen before.
Then, Harry remembered that he himself was a wizard.
What about his parents? Would they also be powerful wizards?
He thought this as he dug into the soil.
Inside the castle, Lucifer asked lazily, "Who is that child? The one who broke the Moonpetal Flower?"
Mu En nodded, took out sausages and bacon from the refrigerator, and then a lamb chop, preparing to make lunch.
Poof.
Lucifer emerged from the stove again, holding the frying pan steady. Beside him, the cleaver and spatula automatically sprang up, beginning to prepare the side dishes.
Mu En, holding the frying pan, familiarly cracked two eggs.
"That child has magic. I plan to follow the trail around him to see if I can find an opportunity to understand the magic of this world."
"If you ask me, crunch..." Lucifer interrupted himself, opening his mouth to swallow the eggshells.
"If you ask me, why don't you fly around London a couple more times? Someone will naturally come to catch you. Once you've gathered enough information, you can break out." Lucifer said nonchalantly.
"You damn guy..." Mu En shook his head helplessly. Ever since they spent a few years as pirates in the Caribbean, Lucifer's way of thinking had always carried a violent undertone.
"I'm not that strong anymore," Mu En explained. "Don't underestimate this world. I'm still under a curse."
"Oh, yes. A pilot turned into a pig. And a wizard turned into a cat. How funny... crunch..."
At some point, the disguise on Mu En's face had vanished, replaced by the head of a somewhat plump, silvery-white cat.
"And a Maine Coon, no less..." Lucifer added.
"Damn it, if you're going to eat, can you at least be quiet!" Mu En said irritably.
