Background / History

Harry spent his early childhood at Number 4, Privet Drive under the care of the Dursleys, where Dudley and his friends bullied him and his accidental magic was met with punishment. His hair once regrew overnight after Petunia cut it, resulting in a week of confinement. 1

While fleeing Dudley, Harry damaged Mu En’s Moonpetal Flowers at Number 13. His touch restored the flowers’ vitality, exposing his Magic Power to Mu En. Mu En identifies him as a born wizard and takes him on as an informal magical apprentice, initially making him repair the garden as atonement. 1 3

At Moonlight Castle, Harry finds purposeful work, magical books, and a mentor who teaches him to regard magic as something to understand and control.
