New Suspect

"Officer Shiraishi, we'll head over right away." Mori hurriedly hung up after saying that.

Although he did not know what had happened on Mori and Yumichika's end, Shiraishi felt that it had to be something serious. After all, the two great grim reapers of Kansai and Kanto were involved over there!

Half an hour later, Mori and the others arrived at Beika Police Station. Sure enough, Inspector Yumichika had come with them.

"I heard you caught Genda? What happened?" Inspector Yumichika hurriedly asked.

Shiraishi briefly explained how he and his subordinates had gone to a café to buy something, encountered Ran, Kazuha, and Genda, and what had happened afterward.

"You were in such a hurry just now because of that red horse, weren't you?" Shiraishi asked.

"Yes. Luckily, nothing happened to Ran or the agency—who would've thought they had gotten the red horse? We really have Inspector Shiraishi to thank this time." Seeing that his daughter and agency were safe, Mori let out a long breath.

"By the way, did you just come from the fire scene?" Shiraishi frowned. All of them carried a strong smell of smoke.

"Mm. At seven-thirty tonight, a fire broke out at the Morozumi House in Fourth Block, Haido Town. And this was found at the scene as well." Inspector Yumichika took out an evidence bag containing the red horse. "It was done by that guy behind the serial arson cases."

Shiraishi looked at the evidence and found that it was indeed identical to the pendant Ran and the others had received, except the figure on it had been burned away.

"So you suspect that guy named Genda now?" Shiraishi asked.

"No, the situation is a little complicated. He's only one of the suspects." Heiji said this.

"Actually, what happened at the scene today was—"
