Simulation Arena
The Simulation Field of Asura Arena is the best place for cultivation.
Here, as long as you're willing to spend the money, you can simulate any environment or scenario you want, and even any opponent.
At this stage, money is not a burden for Lin Zhen, so he can make full use of the Simulation Field.
"Master, this is the Simulation Arena."
After Lin Zhen arrived at the Asura Arena, he looked at the empty space in front of him, with Chris explaining things to him from the side.
"Tell me about the plan you've made for me."
"That's right. Master, you don't need to spend time cultivating your realm for now. You just need to hone your skills. You need to improve your combat ability through a large number of battles."
"Based on your request, I have conducted a systematic analysis for you. First, regarding your Spear Art, the Nine Heavy Spears River, Thunder Kill, Meteor, and other techniques you currently possess should be organized and integrated into a unique set of Spear Art that belongs solely to you."
"Moreover, today I bought a Starfall Manual in the mall. This is the seventh move of the Nine Heavy Spears River, which you can also incorporate into your new Spear Art."
Lin Zhen nodded. Being able to purchase Falling Star was indeed a pleasant surprise, but he still needed time to familiarize himself with the cultivation process.
"How do I Xuan Ze which opponent to fight?"
"I currently suggest you challenge the designated Arena."
As Chris spoke, a row of subtitles appeared in front of Lin Zhen's eyes.
"These are all designated environments within Simulation Field. You can Xuan Ze to conquer these scenes, and the endless battles within can quickly improve your combat skills."
Lin Zhen looked at the list of subtitles, which depicted a wide variety of environments.
Elf Forest, Dwarf Cave, Dragon Race Mountain Range, Hell Demon Clan, Bottomless Abyss, Zombie Siege, and so on.
Furthermore, each map has a difficulty level, namely Normal, Nightmare, Hell, and Purgatory.
"What are the differences between these four difficulty levels?"
"Of course there is a difference. The normal difficulty is simple. Although the monsters and enemies inside are the same, their strength is vastly different. To put it this way, out of 10,000 people who enter the normal difficulty, at least 5,000 have the strength to clear it."
"The Nightmare difficulty is different. If 10,000 people enter, it would be considered good if 100 people could clear it."
"Hell difficulty is for true geniuses; out of ten thousand people, only a handful may be able to clear it."
Lin Zhen smiled and said, "If it's the Purgatory difficulty, maybe only one in ten thousand people can clear it."
Unexpectedly Chris said, "No, if it's the Purgatory difficulty, let alone 10,000 people, even if 100 million people enter, there might not be a single person who can clear it."
"That difficult?" Lin Zhen was stunned.
"That's right, this is the highest level of difficulty for the Star Stage. Of course, you can also Xuan Ze the Comet Stage or the Satellite Stage, in which case you should have no difficulty clearing it."
Lin Zhen shook his head resolutely. "That's absolutely not going to work. After I entered the World Stone, the enemies I faced were mostly from the Star Stage. Lowering the difficulty now won't have any training effect on me at all."
"Now that you've made your decision, Master, you can Xuan Ze now."
Lin Zhen thought for a moment, "Normal difficulty is definitely out of the question, it's not challenging enough for me. I'll try Nightmare difficulty first. You said that out of 10,000 people can beat it, I should be able to do it."
"Master, I forgot to emphasize one point: basically no one can beat it smoothly on their first try. Everyone needs to familiarize themselves with it before they can gradually clear it. The success rate of someone who can clear it on Nightmare difficulty on their first Xuan Ze is one in a million!"
Lin Zhen nodded. He understood the concept of one in a million. Those who could come to the Simulation Field were not just any Tom, Dick, or Harry; they were all geniuses among geniuses.
Only one in a million geniuses can pass the test on the first try. Although Lin Zhen was arrogant, he knew how difficult this was.
"Master, if you can clear the Hell difficulty of a map within a year, then you can almost be considered a top genius, definitely one of the best in the Star Stage realm, so don't be impatient."
"Don't worry, I'm not a sore loser, and there's no such thing as a winner who always wins. I'll take it one step at a time."
Lin Zhen looked at the hundreds of designated maps, then pointed to one of them. "What is the concept of this Zombie Siege?"
"Zombie Siege refers to a disaster that occurred on a planet, where humans have all turned into incredibly strong zombies. Enemies are everywhere, and you cannot get injured in this map because the zombie virus is contagious. If you get infected, you will turn into a zombie within ten minutes and fail. It is very difficult."
"I am naturally immune to all poisons, and after Armorization, my Scale Armor are even more impervious to blades and spears. How could I possibly get injured?"
"Entering this designated map will disable your immunity to all poisons, render your Scale Armor useless, and prevent you from using your Mental Power to attack zombies. You will also be under a no-fly zone. Are you sure you want to enter?"
"Entering here, a martial artist must be able to fight in any environment, which is perfect for honing my Spear Art."
Lin Zhen confirmed his Xuan Ze to enter, Chris immediately began the process.
"Entering the Simulation Arena confirmed, Zombie Siege, data transmission in progress."
"Enter, final mission: kill the Level Five Zombie King in the city's central square and rescue at least fifty survivors."
The scenery before Lin Zhen changed, and a city resembling the one from the Anno Domini Era appeared.
He stood on a secluded path in the city, where a barrier of light stretched out. Rescuing survivors and bringing them here meant they had reached a safe zone.
Wild, beast-like roars echoed throughout the city; those were the so-called zombies.
"This environment is so realistic, it doesn't feel like a virtual environment at all."
Lin Zhen looked down; she was still wearing the same clothes she had when she came in, only the scene had changed.
With a flick of his wrist, the Yin-Yang Long Spear appeared in his hand.
I tried to use my Mental Power, but found that I couldn't fly. However, I could still use Mental Impact and Flying Knife.
However, Mental Impact are useless here. According to the information, these zombies are simply mindless undead.
"Alright, let's take it slow. My Long Spear is perfect for fighting here."
Several wandering zombies approached, moving very fast, even faster than a normal person could run, but they were nothing to Lin Zhen.
The Long Spear trembled, and several cold glints shot out, leaving a bloody hole in the head of each zombie.
"It's not that great, is it?"
Lin Zhen quickened his pace and headed straight for the city.
Lin Zhen became increasingly relaxed as he stabbed the zombies he encountered along the way to death.
When Lin Zhen occasionally encountered survivors, he would take them back. In less than three hours, he had rescued twenty survivors.
"It seems like today's task will be easy to complete. Chris said there was a one in a million chance, isn't that a bit of an exaggeration?"
A group of zombies ran towards them, and during Lin Zhen's attack, one of the zombies suddenly accelerated.
The attack was extremely sudden, and Lin Zhen was caught off guard, resulting in a bloody gash on his chest.
"Damn it, this is an agile zombie, a level two zombie! I was too careless!"
The powerful virus immediately began to invade Lin Zhen's nerves, and he knew instantly that this challenge had failed.
Lin Zhen did not linger there. This time, he calmly and easily killed the level 2 zombie before leaving the Simulation Field.
"The attack speed of that level 2 zombie definitely exceeds the speed of sound. And this is only level 2, and only at Nightmare difficulty. It seems that the strength of these zombies far exceeds that of zombie documentaries from the Anno Domini Era. I was too careless."
Lin Zhen learned from his previous failure and entered the Simulation Field a second time.
The second time, Lin Zhen rescued forty survivors, but during a battle with a group of zombies, he was hit by a level four zombie and failed again.
This chaotic battle exposed some shortcomings. In group battles, the Spear Art was still not sharp enough. In the past, with Scale Armor protecting the body, the body was strong enough and immune to all poisons, so naturally, it didn't care about these attacks. Now, it's really not good enough.
However, this also has its advantages, as it is only under these circumstances that one can truly hone their marksmanship.
Having figured this out, Lin Zhen was no longer in a hurry to clear the game. Such opportunities for real combat were rare, and he wanted to experience them carefully.
The third time, Lin Zhen did much better, rescuing survivors and easily killing a large group of zombies. He was eliminated again when he encountered Level Five Zombie King.
Through this battle, Lin Zhen's understanding of Spear Art reached a new level.
"I used to focus on the lethality and offensive capabilities of my Spear Art, as well as powerful killing moves. However, due to my physical condition, I neglected defense. Every time I won a battle, I would often get injured myself. As my opponents became stronger, I had to avoid this situation."
"Precision, consistency, and evasion—these are the skills I need to hone right now."
"However, this Nightmare difficulty isn't too hard anymore. Let's clear it today and then head to Hell, where the real challenge lies."
The fourth time, Lin Zhen killed Level Five Zombie King and successfully cleared the Nightmare difficulty.
After clearing the Nightmare stage, Lin Zhen thought Chris would praise him, but to his surprise, Chris just said indifferently, "You only cleared Nightmare on your fourth try. Your performance is mediocre. At this rate, I really don't have much confidence in whether you can clear Hell in a year."
Lin Zhen was somewhat unconvinced. It was just a little more difficult, was it really necessary to make such a big deal out of it?
Afterwards, Lin Zhen entered the Zombie Siege on hell difficulty, but he didn't expect the difficulty to increase a hundredfold!
What were originally just ordinary zombies with some strength have now become comparable to Planet Stage masters!
And those level two zombies actually possessed the strength of the peak of the Planet Stage!
Zombies of level three or higher possess the strength of Star Stage being.
Facing the enormous city before him, teeming with zombies, Lin Zhen licked his lips. "This is going to be fun. No wonder Chris said that if I could beat Hell difficulty within a year, I'd be a top genius."
"I can't use my Mental Power attack, and I can't fly. My biggest trump card is restricted. It's going to be really difficult to get through this."
"Come on! Only an environment like this can truly unleash my potential. Let's see if this hellish difficulty level can stop me!"
