Sirius cautiously backed away. Though canines were not as nimble as felines, wolves were also creatures skilled at hiding. He hoped to retreat without alerting anyone.

The monster within the dust suddenly turned around.

That simple movement alone stirred up a gust of wind, instantly blowing away the billowing dust.

The monster that had fallen from the sky finally revealed his true form before Sirius.

He was a terrifying seven or eight meters tall. His tattered clothes could not conceal the knotted, powerful muscles of his bare upper body. His black hair whipped wildly in the wind, while a pair of curved horns stretching toward the sky made him look even more ferocious.

The monster turned his gaze toward Sirius.

Sirius instantly felt as though he had fallen into an ice cellar. The fur along his back stood on end like a cat's, and every muscle in his body seemed to have frozen stiff.

A monster!

Just by standing before him, Sirius could clearly understand that this was a monster he could never possibly match!

This was a powerhouse!

"A Devil Fruit User?"

Kaido said with interest, "And a little dog, at that."

For a powerhouse at his level, although his Observation Haki might not rank among the best in the world, it was certainly enough to distinguish humans from animals.

What a coincidence, running into Kaido when he had come here to kill himself! What kind of luck was this?

After noticing Kaido's reaction, Sirius quietly breathed a sigh of relief. It had probably worked.

Everyone knew that the Beasts Pirates were a zoo, and Director Kaido loved all sorts of animals.

"So show me your value! Let me see how you survived on this island! What makes you worthy of my help!"

His voice suddenly turned cold, and Sirius could even feel the air around him freeze.

"If you can't satisfy me, I'll crush you to death."

He was serious.

Sirius's heart kept sinking.

In his previous life, he had only been an ordinary person. His life had been short, and he had spent most of it in a hospital bed. The most harrowing thing he had ever experienced was seeing his parents' tears before he died.

"Is that all? Then—ugh!"

The smile on Kaido's face suddenly vanished. His mountain-like body swayed slightly. "This is!"

It worked!

The corner of Sirius's mouth curled up.

"Poison?"

Kaido forcefully shook his head, but he still felt an intense dizziness. There was no doubt that he had been poisoned. "You have an ability like this too?"

This was also one of Sirius's abilities. After transforming, besides breathing fire, he could also secrete Venom.
