The Pact and the First Lesson

Yamato excitedly led Lord Sirius to the kitchen of Onigashima.

Although the Beasts Pirates were not as massive as they would be eighteen years later, they still had a large number of members. Furthermore, pirates were the type of people who could start a feast on a whim.

So, even though it was getting late, the chefs in the kitchen had not yet finished their shifts. Upon seeing Yamato drag Lord Sirius in, they immediately greeted them with smiles.

"Lady Oni-Hime, are you here for a late-night snack?"

If Boss Kaido was the king of the demons residing on Onigashima, then his daughter was naturally the Oni Princess.

"En,"

Yamato nodded. "Lord Sirius said he's hungry. Make him something to eat."

Only then did the chefs turn their attention to Lord Sirius. They said respectfully, "Oh, you are Lord Sirius? Please wait a moment, we will prepare the most lavish late-night meal for you right away!"

It seemed that in just this short amount of time, his name had already spread throughout Onigashima.

Lord Sirius smiled and said, "Then I'll trouble you all. I'm not picky, but meat would be best, of course."

"You are too kind, Lord Sirius! Please wait, we will prepare food for you immediately."

The chefs' faces turned red with excitement.

Despite his young age, this lord was personally recognized by Boss Kaido as the future Third Calamity of the Beasts Pirates! An existence on par with Lord King and Lord Queen!

If they could build a good relationship with him, wouldn't the future benefits be immense?

As the chefs went to prepare the food, Yamato pulled Lord Sirius to a small dining area outside the kitchen and found a seat. Her sparkling eyes were full of curiosity. She playfully swung her legs and tilted her head, asking, "Sirius, like Jack, you're from outside Wano Country, right? What is the outside sea like?"

Lord Sirius knew that Yamato was the same age as Momonosuke. She must have been born after Boss Kaido arrived in Wano Country and had never left the country since birth.

He smiled and said, "The outside world, it's unimaginably beautiful!"

"Ooh~ Unimaginably? That sounds amazing!" Yamato's eyes widened.

Her little head clearly couldn't comprehend what "unimaginably" meant.

Lord Sirius simply stood on a stool and gestured grandly, "In the outside world, there are towering Giants, and tiny Dwarves!"

"There's the Red Line, reaching into the clouds and encircling the world! There's the Grand Line, where countless ships sail and strong individuals gather!"

"There's the Sky Kingdom floating above the clouds! And there's Ryugu Palace hidden in the depths of the sea!"

"There are Great Goldfish that can bite off an island with a single bite! There are also large archipelagos formed by dozens of large trees!"

"Some islands have spring all year round, and some islands are always laden with fruit! Some islands are scorching hot, and some islands are eternally frozen!"

Yamato stared blankly at Sirius, who was speaking passionately, listening intently.

"So Sirius, have you seen all these sights with your own eyes?" Black Maria, who was sitting at a nearby table, asked in surprise due to her large size.

"Of course not."

Sirius grinned and jumped off the stool, wiped it casually, and then nimbly climbed back up and sat down. "I read it in books."

"So you haven't!"

Maria said indignantly, "You must be lying!"

"Huh? Is he lying?" Yamato exclaimed in shock.

"Sirius isn't lying!"

Jack, sitting at another table, retorted loudly. "I heard Mother talk about Ryugu Palace! It's on Fish-Man Island, ten thousand meters below the sea! It's our homeland, the homeland of fish-men! I will return to see it sooner or later!"

Yamato finally breathed a sigh of relief. "What, it's true after all!"

"Of course it's true!"

Sirius said, "Although I haven't seen anything yet, sooner or later, I will set foot in every corner of the sea and see all the beautiful scenery in the world!"

"I want to go too!"

Yamato slammed the table and stood up, her eyes welling up with tears of emotion. She grabbed Sirius's hand. "Sirius, please take me with you!"

"Okay,"

Sirius smiled. "We're comrades, after all."

"Yay!"

Yamato excitedly punched the air. "Then it's a promise!"

"I really want to go too."

Black Maria looked a little conflicted. "But I still want to become the number one Courtesan in Wano Country, and then serve Lord Kaido."

Sirius couldn't help but glance at her sideways.

Girl, you're only nine years old.

Uncle Kaido, even as a pirate, you're too much of a Scum, aren't you?

"Hmph, I'm not interested."

Jack snorted unhappily, "I don't care what happens to the world! As long as I can follow Boss Kaido, that's enough for me!"

"That's what I'm saying,"

Sirius said, "This world respects everyone's dreams. Just do whatever you want."

"Heh."

Jack smiled shyly.

As they chatted, the chefs had prepared the late-night snacks.

Steaming hot food was brought up, filling three tables.

The enticing aroma instantly made Sirius's appetite soar. He was indeed very hungry.

"Well, I'm starting!"

Sirius was not polite at all, nor did he care about his table manners. He directly reached out, grabbed a piece of bone-in meat, and stuffed it into his mouth.

His stomach was like a bottomless pit. He chewed and swallowed large chunks of meat, but his stomach remained flat.

He hadn't eaten so heartily in a long time. Hunting on the Desert Island was quite troublesome.

"Wow, you really can eat a lot, Sirius."

Maria couldn't help but exclaim, "Just like Mr. Kaido."

"How is that possible! Sirius can't eat as much as Boss Kaido at all! Boss Kaido is the one who eats the most!" Jack didn't forget to defend his idol's dignity in this regard.

"I'm very confident when it comes to appetite!"

Sirius held a roasted lamb leg in each hand and finished them in just a few bites, leaving only bones.

He ate with a blissful expression, his face covered in oil.

Yamato pursed her lips, then suddenly reached out her hand, "You're making me hungry too!! Let's have a showdown, Sirius!"

"Oh! Then bring it on!"

Sirius faced her head-on, his fighting spirit ignited!

"How childish." Black Maria pouted.

"Yeah, two idiots!" Jack nodded repeatedly with a serious expression.

Sirius and Yamato paused slightly, exchanged a look, and grinned at the same time.

Then, the two of them leaped up simultaneously, each holding a piece of meat and shoving it into the mouths of the caught-off-guard Black Maria and Jack.

"Wow! Yamato, you got my clothes dirty!"

"Sirius, you idiot!"

And so, the four of them engaged in a food-eating contest.

Sirius didn't feel that playing with children was childish at all.

In his previous life, he had reached the end of his life at the age of a high school student. Most of his time before that had been spent in a hospital bed, and his understanding of the world came mostly from movies, TV shows, novels, and manga. He wasn't exactly a mature man.

After a lively late-night snack, Sirius and Yamato said goodbye to Black Maria, promising to watch a movie together the next day. Then, they returned to their living quarters with Jack.

Back in his own room, Sirius lay on the soft bed, recalling the day's experiences.

He had met Kaido, escaped from the Desert Island, joined the Beasts Pirates, and made a few good friends.

It had been a fulfilling day.

Satisfied, Sirius drifted off to sleep.

"Sirius, time to get up!"

Woken up, Sirius groggily climbed out of bed and dazedly opened the door, looking at Jack standing in front of him.

"Stop sleeping! Brother King is waiting for us! Hurry up and change your clothes!" Jack said hurriedly.

Sirius washed his face, regaining some energy, and then changed into the clothes that had been prepared in the room long ago: a beast-skin jacket and black leather pants, very much in the style of the Beasts Pirates.

Sirius found it quite novel, even putting on a pair of decorative horns.

When he walked out of the room, Jack was already impatiently waiting. Seeing him emerge, he slung Sirius over his shoulder and ran.

"Too slow! Brother King will definitely be angry!"

"So, what's the situation now?" Sirius asked, sitting comfortably on Jack's shoulder, looking bewildered. "Aren't we having breakfast first? I'm really hungry."

"Breakfast is after morning training! Besides, didn't you eat so much last night?"

"Morning training?"
