Asking His Mother for Ninjutsu and Taijutsu

"I figured Father, Minato Namikaze, was no longer home. He should already be working at the Hokage's office building."

Sigh, how helpless! I'd better ask Mother for a few simple ninjutsu first. Then, once I've used up my chakra, I can train my body. No, I also need to ask Mother for some taijutsu. What good is a strong body if I don't know any taijutsu at all?

Suddenly, she turned around, smiled at him, and said, "Xiao Ye, why are you here? I saw you standing there for quite a while. Did you need something from your mother?"

Kushina's voice was soft and pleasant to hear.

However, Xuan Ye looked shocked. "Mom, did you know I was standing here all along? I didn't make a sound or do anything. How did you know I was here?"

Seeing the surprised expression on her son's face, Kushina could not help laughing. However, she quickly covered her mouth with her hand and rolled her eyes at Xuan Ye.

She said to him, "Xiao Ye, you're making ninjas sound far too simple! Your mother is a jōnin of Konoha Village! If a jōnin like me couldn't even notice a little fellow like you, who isn't even a ninja yet, would I still count as a Konoha jōnin?"

"Xiao Ye, I noticed you the moment you came here. My chakra can sense things around me, and the instant you arrived, my chakra detected you. So whether you spoke or not, I knew you were here."

So that was how it was. After hearing Kushina Uzumaki's answer, Xuan Ye silently nodded. Chakra can do that too? This is the first time I've heard of it. It seems chakra has many uses I don't know about.

Xuan Ye continued, "Mother, your chakra should be used up by now, right? I saw you use so many ninjutsu here. Using that many ninjutsu must have consumed a lot of chakra, right?"

"Ha, Xiao Ye, you think your mother's chakra is exhausted? Not at all! Your mother's chakra will never run out. I'm from the Uzumaki Clan, so I have several times more chakra than ordinary ninjas. And I'm also the Nine-Tails Jinchuriki, so there's even less chance of my chakra running out."

How could I not know what a Nine-Tails Jinchuriki is? I've watched Naruto. But that's the Nine-Tails, a vicious old fox that's lived for who knows how many years. Yet she calls it a very cute little fox. I don't even know what to say.

Forget it. Maybe in Mother's eyes, that vicious old fox that has lived for who knows how long really is a cute little fox. Didn't the story say that the Nine-Tails had to be moved with love? I just don't know whether that love actually works.

If it were me, let alone moving it with love, it would be a miracle if I didn't beat it up. Of course, I know I can't defeat the Nine-Tails right now, but one day I'll definitely be able to. As for the Nine-Tails, I still think it's better to conquer it with strength. Creatures like that submit to the strong, don't they? Xuan Ye thought silently.

"Oh, right, Xiao Ye, what is it that you need? Just tell me. You must have come to find me for something, right?" Kushina Uzumaki asked Xuan Ye with a smile.

"Yes, Mother, I do have something to ask you for. I... I want some Ninjutsu Scrolls, and I also want some Taijutsu Scrolls." After saying that, Xuan Ye looked at Kushina Uzumaki eagerly, as though afraid she might refuse.

Kushina Uzumaki slowly walked toward him, came to a stop before him, extended a fair little hand, raised one finger, and gently tapped his forehead.

"They're only some Ninjutsu Scrolls and Taijutsu Scrolls. Do you need to look so nervous? Are you afraid your mother won't give them to you?" Kushina said helplessly as she stood before Xuan Ye.

"Ha ha, of course not. You're overthinking it, Mother." Xuan Ye could only laugh awkwardly. He definitely could not tell his mother the truth. He could not possibly say that he really was afraid she would not give them to him.

Kushina saw her son's embarrassment and stopped teasing him. "Follow me!"

After saying that, Kushina simply walked off without looking back at her son. She knew her son would be able to keep up. Even if he could not, the house was not that large, and he would surely be able to find his way.

Seeing his mother leave, Xuan Ye eagerly followed after her. Along the way, Kushina slightly increased her speed.

Kushina had only felt that they were walking too slowly and wanted to move a little faster, so she quickened her pace. But then she suddenly noticed that her son had accelerated as well, constantly maintaining the same distance from her. That discovery surprised Kushina.

"Oh? This boy can really keep up. Not bad, not bad. I'll speed up again and see whether he can still follow."

With that thought in mind, Kushina continued accelerating, faster and faster, until she reached the speed of a genin. She even used chakra to accelerate herself to that level, yet Xuan Ye still kept up. This left Kushina somewhat unable to understand.
