But he had never imagined the Emperor would resolve the black hole Hua Ye had unleashed like this.
He turned space-time into a painting, then tore that painting apart.
The black hole had been torn apart as well.
Lena, Liu Chuang, and the others stared wide-eyed, their faces filled with disbelief.
This method, more fantastical than magic itself, made them super soldiers—or beings called gods—look like primitive savages wielding knives and axes.
Zhixin, Lingxi, and the other angels who had taken part in the battle were equally stunned.
To break Hua Ye's artificial black hole, the Heavenly Base King, Hexi, had been severely injured and forced into deep hibernation.
Yet this human called the Emperor had simply torn the black hole apart.
Sumali, Ruoning, Titan, Wutong, and the others loyal to Hua Ye all felt a chill rise up their backs.
A hopeless feeling that they could not possibly resist welled up in their hearts.

Hua Ye raised one hand. Streams of data made of zeroes and ones, along with special rune codes, flowed continuously through his pupils.
A black hole that devoured everything appeared before him and rapidly expanded.
The Emperor looked wary, preparing to erase the black hole his opponent had created once more.
Suddenly, the black hole in Hua Ye's hand transformed into a wormhole radiating white light.
He spread the wings on his back, rushed into the wormhole, and fled.
He abandoned all his subordinates, even leaving behind the Heavenly Palace that had come to the Solar System.
He had simply fled without a shred of hesitation.
Sumali and the others were briefly shaken by their leader's escape before they too began to flee.
With such a powerhouse protecting Earth, they had no chance of winning and might even lose their lives here.
As long as they lived, there would always be another chance.
"Don't let them get away!"
Lena was the first to react.
She shouted at the others, who were still stunned.
At the same time, she casually released a brilliant flare beam.
It reduced a nearby Male Angel to ashes.
The others came to their senses and began pursuing the enemy.
With the high-level combatants fleeing, the remaining lackeys were naturally no match for Xiong Bing Lian and were swiftly wiped out.
A crisis that could have driven humanity to extinction had been easily resolved by the Emperor's return.
"I'm sorry."
After the battle ended, Liu Chuang, Chen Yaowen, Zhao Xin, and the others rushed over and surrounded the Emperor.
They asked where he had gone, how he had been doing, and why he had not returned for so long.
Lena asked nothing. She walked straight up to the Emperor and apologized.
"It was all because I was too full of myself. What happened to Emerald Star was all my fault."
Upon hearing this, the members of Xiong Bing Lian exchanged looks and fell silent.
The matter of Emerald Star was Lena's deepest wound.
It had once left her despondent, even driving her to consider suicide.
Only after everyone had counseled her did she slowly emerge from it.
"Don't apologize, Lena. This isn't your fault. I can only say that I underestimated the enemy."
The Emperor stepped past the others, walked up to Lena, and gently placed a hand on her shoulder.
"Besides, Emerald Star's explosion had no effect on me at all."
"I should be the one apologizing. I left without saying goodbye and caused you so much trouble."
Lena raised her head, her vision already blurred by tears.
For countless days and nights, the Emerald Star incident had tormented her.
When Earth was invaded by numerous civilizations.
When North Star became a meat grinder.
When Xiong Bing Lian's comrades died.
When desperate people remembered the days when they had been protected by the Emperor.
She would be consumed by deep guilt.
If she had been more careful and had not been controlled by Morgana, would everything that followed never have happened?
The Emperor's return and his words finally eased the pain in her heart.
Her suppressed emotions naturally spilled out.
"I knew you wouldn't die. You bastard, you worried us to death."
Back at Xiong Bing Lian's base built in the void, Dukao learned of the Emperor's return. His face flushed with excitement as he ran out to greet him.
Dukao clenched his fist and punched the Emperor.
His fist struck the Emperor's golden armor, making Dukao wince in pain.
Earth's Super Academy had also been relocated to the void base.
Upon learning of the Emperor's return, the academy's teachers all appeared.
They all wanted to meet this legendary figure who had emerged from Super Academy.
The Emperor looked around at the academy's teachers. When he did not see Principal Gillan, he asked Ryze.
"Where is Principal Gillan?"
This elderly survivor of the Divine River Civilization had given him a great deal of help.
The human-compatible Gene Engine had been successfully developed with his assistance.
Now that he had returned to the Super God Universe, there were important matters he wanted to discuss with him.
The Emperor planned to establish a Human Empire in this universe as well.
Once a space-time passage was established, he would merge all these Human Empires into one.
As Raven put it.
"Create enough Human Empire babies, then merge them all together, and you'll get an incredibly powerful Human Empire baby."
The Emperor intended to persuade Principal Gillan to gather the Divine River survivors and assist Earth's civilization in building a Human Empire.
Ryze sighed.
"After the Emerald Star explosion, there was no news of you at all. No one knew whether you were alive or dead. Principal Gillan was deeply affected and became despondent for a time."
"Later, he came to believe that conflicts between civilizations were meaningless. He decided to devote himself entirely to exploring the truth of the universe and chose to become Cosmic Consciousness."
The Emperor frowned slightly. He had not expected his departure to trigger so many chain reactions.
Next time he went to another universe, he needed to be more careful.
"Can we still contact him?"
Ryze nodded.
"We can, but it's difficult. Usually, we can only speak with him when he wants to see us."
"If he doesn't want to contact us, there will basically be no response. But if it's you, the principal should respond."
"Let me talk to him. I have something very important to discuss." The Emperor said, "Before I leave, I hope to arrange everything properly."
Hua Ye fled with Sumali and the others all the way until they entered the Dark Nebula, only then daring to stop.
The Emperor had cast too great a shadow over them.
He could even tear apart black holes.

"In the known universe, there is absolutely no one more terrifying than that guy."
