Although the game's story had been cheerful, seeing a real battlefield now made March 7th's reaction perfectly understandable.

This was how a young girl ought to react upon witnessing war.

The group carefully made their way along the roads of the Dan Ding Si.

Along the way, they encountered some members of the Medicine King's Secret Teachings and fought them.

They also came across many Cloud Knight Soldiers clinging to life.

The players had not expected even ordinary Cloud Knight Soldiers to get screen time.

They had all been minor characters who could easily have been overlooked in the story.

Yet this short stretch of the plot perfectly conveyed the Cloud Knight Soldiers' fierce spirit and their determination to drive out the plague of immortality.

They were clearly just minor characters whose faces had never even been shown...

And the brief exchanges along the way left the players deeply moved.

But that was just like the nameless heroes in reality.

Though most went unknown, they were undeniably an indispensable part of building the harmonious society of today.

That was what a good story should be like.

A story that relied solely on the protagonists to turn the tide would inevitably feel lesser.
