"They've finally moved!" Grand Duke Ocrean Yaso grinned, a sharp gleam flashing through his eyes. Whether these soldiers could be forged into true fighters depended on this final test. He had no doubt that the Warg Riders could break through; all he hoped was that the militia and soldiers could hold off the Warg Riders that made it inside. The experience and morale gained from slaughtering Wandering Orcs were on an entirely different level from those gained by wiping out elite Orc clan Warg Riders!
"Archers, target the Warg Riders! Free fire, maximum casualties!" Grand Duke Ocrean Yaso watched the charging Warg Riders. Naturally, he could not let the militia and lightly equipped infantry meet a Warg Rider charge head-on. No matter how weak their impact was, they were still cavalry!
"Count Laimon! Have the Knights lead the heavy cavalry and assemble!" Grand Duke Ocrean Yaso ordered again. The archers could slow the Warg Riders' charge, but the only ones who could truly halt their momentum were Count Laimon's elite cavalry, his final reserve! After all, Rohan was known as the Riding Kingdom! Though Count Laimon did not have many Knights, his territory had plenty of heavy cavalry armor in storage. Rohan did not lack warhorses capable of bearing heavy gear. Thus, while Grand Duke Ocrean Yaso had not managed to uncover something as outrageous as a Knight Order in Count Laimon's household, he had still scraped together a mixed force of one hundred Knights and heavy cavalry.
"Good!" Count Laimon nodded and turned to leave.
"Wait! Don't take the field yourself!" Grand Duke Ocrean Yaso grabbed him. If you die, won't all our efforts have been for nothing? What if your heir is an idiot? Wouldn't everything be wasted? Grand Duke Ocrean Yaso had no desire to start building
