"I'm not sure..." Dwalin set down his cup and shook his head.
"That was strange..." Thorin did not know whether to laugh or cry. Roland had come in a blaze of activity, then left in the same blaze.
"Your Highness..." Omsk looked at Roland in confusion. So he had really just gone there for a drink? Just one damn drink?
"It's nothing. I only wanted to see whether Thorin was doing well." Roland rubbed his nose and lied without blushing or skipping a beat.
"What now?" Omsk said through gritted teeth. Was Roland really that idle?
"Now..." Roland smiled as he looked at the four Honor Points on the system panel, satisfaction gleaming in his eyes.
"To Dale!" Roland smiled. If checking in at Erebor's historical site had worked, there was no reason Dale, the star of the human Northern Territory, would not give him Honor Points.
"Fine!" Omsk could only nod and follow Roland. After all, he was merely a subject. Keeping Roland from getting himself killed was already fulfilling his duty.
"Who goes there?" The guards stationed atop the walls immediately spotted Roland and Omsk, both dressed as knights. They promptly shouted to alert the guards below.
The guards below did not hesitate either. Although they knew the two men were beyond their ability to fight, they still raised their spears and blocked Roland and Omsk's path.
"This is the King of Lagrange, lord of Flowing City, Lulong Fortress, and Giant Port—King Roland! We wish to request an audience with King Bard!" Omsk glanced at Roland, then rode forward and spoke.
The guards examined them carefully. Although Omsk was not carrying Roland's royal banner, his attire was fairly well known throughout the Northern Territory. Before long, the guards began whispering among themselves.
