Background / History
Omsk arrives at Flowing City as Roland's newly obtained Tier 6 hero. His approach alone triggers an emergency evacuation: the residual aura of his Dragon Knight power is detectable from miles away, while his black-and-white Dragon Scale armor identifies him to Roland. He dismounts outside the city and pledges loyalty as commander of the Teutonic Knights. 141 142
He is introduced as the former commander of the Lagrange Empire's thousand-man Teutonic Knight Order and a hero defined by balanced offense and defense. His Light-Shadow attributes give him Light-based offense and Shadow-based defense, making him exceptionally difficult for ordinary Tier 6 professionals to confront. 141
During the conflict around Singri and Dol Guldur, Omsk acts as Roland's foremost battlefield protector. He saves Valfay from Sernal's Soul Scythe, confronts the Ringwraith directly, and uses Light and Shadow techniques to suppress Sernal's Death Domain until the Ringwraith retreats. 155 Later, he deliberately reveals himself to draw Khamûl and Lidilias away from Roland's smaller force, fighting alongside Valfay while retreating toward Singri. 158
Omsk takes command of the allied assault on Dol Guldur, arranging the combined force by role and leading the breakthrough into the city. Mounted on his Abyss Warhorse, he uses War Stomp to clear the entrance and establish a foothold for the advancing army. 165 167 168
Following the northern Orc incursions, he leads the Lagrange Iron Cavalry through Dale and the Dwarven front lines. Dissatisfied with passive border defense, he crosses the Grey Mountains to raid Orc gathering points in the Northern Wastes. The campaign destroys multiple tribes, but Omsk orders the killing or expulsion of Orc civilians as well as fighters, creating conflict with Lavien and unease even among his allies. 315 317 319 321
Omsk later leads the defense and relief of Lulong Fortress. After discovering that the Orc army has bypassed his camp, he rushes back toward the fortress, then waits until the enemy's elite formation is committed before striking its rear. His Holy Radiance Knight Order routs the Orc elites through a Square Banner charge, Light and Shadow Rotation, and War Stomp. 541 564 568
Appearance
Omsk is an imposing knight in his early thirties, usually seen mounted and fully armored. His equipment projects the image of a heavily armed Dragon Knight rather than an ordinary cavalry commander. 141
- Black-and-white striped heavy armor woven from Black Dragon and White Dragon scales. 141
- A cloak bearing the Lagrange dragon emblem. 141
- Rides an Abyss Warhorse, an Advanced Beast capable of carrying his armor, tower shield, and massive lance. 141
- His Battle Qi can manifest as intertwined black-and-white light. 155 158
- Often carries a lance, tower shield, and greatsword. 141 155
Personality
Omsk is a disciplined battlefield commander who prioritizes formation integrity, terrain, troop safety, and timing. He repeatedly restrains Roland from reckless pursuits, warns against splitting the Knight Order, and chooses retreat when continued fighting would expose his soldiers to encirclement. 410 461 568
His caution does not extend to passivity. He strongly favors offensive cavalry warfare, arguing that cavalry should take the initiative on open plains rather than merely defend. This conviction drives his Northern Wastes campaign and his ambush of the Orc elite force outside Lulong Fortress. 317 564
He can be blunt, contemptuous, and provocative toward Orcs and Ringwraiths. He openly mocks Amoras after wounding him and expresses little mercy toward Orc prisoners who refuse interrogation. 241 242 541 His anti-Orc campaign also reveals a ruthless side that alarms Lavien and Badel. 319 321
Despite his martial demeanor, Omsk is deeply loyal to Roland and the Lagrange state. He protects Roland in battle, accepts responsibility for mistakes, and supports the kingdom's strategic interests even when he lacks political sophistication. 167 410 1088
Abilities & Skills
Light-Shadow Knight Physiology
Omsk possesses both Light and Shadow attributes, granting him strong offensive and defensive options against dark-aligned enemies.
- Light attribute — dispels or suppresses evil energy and can replenish itself from ambient light during daytime combat. 155
- Shadow attribute — allows him to blend into shadows and resist or assimilate some evil-attribute attacks. 155
- Light-Shadow Twin — can conceal one attribute within an attack, revealing the second only after impact; this allows his strikes to bypass an opponent's assumed resistance. 158
- His dual attributes make him difficult for Ringwraiths such as Sernal and Khamûl to counter directly. 155 158
Parry
Omsk's Parry is a high-level defensive technique capable of perfectly blocking an attack up to twice his own tolerance limit.
- Used to stop Sernal's Soul Scythe in direct combat. 155
- Its principal limitation is its cooldown. 155
- Omsk can also parry incoming projectiles, including Ice Leopard icicles and heavy crossbow bolts. 410 453
Light Techniques
Omsk uses Light Battle Qi to counter dark powers, protect allies, and purify enemies.
- Light's Praise — releases a golden halo over an approximately one-kilometer radius, suppressing Sernal's Death Domain. 155
- Dispel / Light Dispel — disperses hostile evil-attribute effects, including Khamûl's Evil Spirit Fall. 155 158
- Light Blessing — creates a burst of Light Battle Qi around him, countering Amoras's Death Torrent. 241
- Purification — pours Light Battle Qi through his lance into Amoras's body, heavily wounding the Ringwraith. 241
Shadow Techniques
Omsk uses Shadow power for evasion, mobility, and repositioning.
- Shadow Meld — lets him and his Abyss Warhorse evade attacks by disappearing into shadows. 155
- He can traverse shadows to reposition during combat, including appearing behind the Balrog in Moria. 275
- Shadow mobility is especially useful against slow, powerful enemies and in crowded battlefields. 155 275
Lance and Greatsword Combat
Omsk is proficient with both lance charges and heavy greatsword techniques.
- Lance Piercing the Sun — a Fifth Tier Knight technique used against Khamûl. 158
- Light-Shadow Stab — a dual-attribute lance attack that burns through Khamûl after he mistakes it for a purely Dark-attribute strike. 158
- Great Light-Shadow Rift Slash — a powerful Battle Qi technique used to slaughter Warg Riders alone in the forest. 240
- Light-Shadow Judgment — a three-dimensional attack with enough destructive power to risk collapsing Moria's roof if unleashed at full force. 271
- Light and Shadow Rotation — a Heroic attack that pierces Orc shield walls during a knightly charge. 565
Mounted Command
Omsk is a highly capable cavalry commander and excels at coordinated knight-order warfare.
- Directs multi-unit formations, assigning melee troops, rangers, archers, spellcasters, and cavalry during the Dol Guldur assault. 165
- Uses feigned retreats and maneuver warfare to draw Orc armies into prepared traps. 327 328
- Commands knights to “ride like a wall,” forming a unified mounted line that crushes enemy formations. 316 565
- Leads Square Banner units, using the banner and formation discipline to inspire allies and terrify enemies. 565
- His strongest ultimate attack requires the combined strength of the Knight Order and the conditions of a surprise strike; it can potentially kill an ordinary Tier 6 opponent in one blow. 567
War Stomp
A mounted area attack performed through the Abyss Warhorse.
- Releases a fan-shaped shockwave infused with Light-Shadow Battle Qi. 168
- Cleared Orcs across a roughly fifty-meter area during the breach of Dol Guldur. 168
- Used again in the Lulong campaign to kill Orcs en masse and break the enemy camp. 566
Light Shadow Time Domain
Omsk possesses a time-and-space-oriented tracking skill.
- Reveals traces of recent movement, including footprints and monster trails erased by weather. 410
- Allows the Knight Order to identify and pursue a monster horde's route despite strong winds. 410
Sacrifice
Omsk activates Sacrifice during the Romanian Royal Knight Order's battle against the Eastern Yi and Orcs.
- Its activation frightens enemy forces. 796
- He kills two fleeing Eastern Yi warriors after the enemy retreat begins. 796
- Omsk self-destructs after using the ability. 796
Equipment
- Black-and-white Dragon Scale plate armor — crafted from Black Dragon and White Dragon scales. 141
- Abyss Warhorse — Advanced Beast mount with exceptional endurance and carrying capacity. 141
- Mithril-conical lance — over five meters long and designed for armor-piercing charges. 141
- Tower shield — carried beside his saddle. 141
- Abyssal Redemption — greatsword drawn when confronting Sernal. 155
- Knight's greatsword — a man-tall, extremely heavy blade used against Warg Riders and Amoras. 240 241
- Spatial ring — used to store and switch weapons. 155 240
Relationships
- Roland Lagrange — His king and liege. Omsk pledges loyalty upon arriving at Flowing City, acts as Roland's bodyguard, and repeatedly protects him during campaigns. 142 410 626
- Valfay — Allied Sixth Tier Huntsman. Omsk saves him from Sernal, then fights beside him against multiple Ringwraiths near Singri. 155 158
- Lavien — Cavalry subordinate and frequent strategic counterweight. Lavien respects Omsk's command ability but objects to his aggressive northern campaign and the killing of Orc civilians. 315 317 319
- Caslo — Fellow knight and trusted ally. Caslo advises Omsk to respect the Orcs' numbers, fights alongside him in northern operations, and provides intelligence on enemy strength. 323 568
- Ajax — Dragon Knight ally. Omsk incorporates Ajax into his plan to lure and destroy the assembled Orc forces with a Forbidden Spell. 322 323
- Badel — Centaur lord who supports Omsk's offensive operations against Orc tribes, though he becomes uncomfortable with the scale of the planned slaughter. 317 322
- Yun Feng — Alchemist and political adviser. The two clash over refugees, but Yun Feng later demonstrates the historical combat potential of Elven-guarded War Trees to Omsk. 196 631 632
- Reno — Commander of Lulong Fortress. Omsk relieves Reno's besieged fortress, and the two maintain a tense but cooperative military relationship. 542 568
- Sernal — Ringwraith adversary. Omsk counters his Death Domain and forces his retreat. 155
- Amoras — Fourth Ringwraith adversary. Omsk heavily wounds him with Light Battle Qi and drives him away. 241 242
