"Rest assured, Lord Adolf Heinrich, we understand!" Caslo nodded solemnly. There was no room for error in a Forbidden Spell War. Once one side failed to withstand a forbidden spell, there would be no chance of turning the tide. After all, very few people could endure a forbidden spell with their flesh alone.

"Light-Blessed Protection!" Adolf Heinrich waved his staff, taking the lead in placing a layer of light shields around everyone. This thing could not block a forbidden spell, but at least it could prevent them from being ambushed by some coward hiding in the shadows. After all, raising a shield before fighting was standard practice for mages.

"Great spirits of nature, heed my chant!" Adolf Heinrich then solemnly began using his magic power to inscribe magical runes in the air.

"Noble spirits of light, grant me the hymn of radiance! Help me sweep away the darkness!"

"Blazing Spirit of Fire, grant me the eternity of flames! Help me burn away evil spirits!"

"Praise the resplendent elements! Let fire and light intertwine! Shatter evil and dispel barriers! Hear the low chant of the Rhine, and witness the raging storm!"

"Rhine! Storm!" Adolf Heinrich raised his staff high. The magical crystal atop the epic-grade staff immediately emitted a dazzling red-and-white radiance. Then Adolf Heinrich slowly floated into the air. A complex hexagram magic array nearly a hundred meters wide and long appeared behind him, magic power flowing across its surface. As all the magic power flowed back into the core of the array, the entire formation began to tremble. Then it flashed and vanished without a trace.

Yet everyone grew tense, because that was the sign that the spell had been completed! It also meant that this Grand Forbidden Spell had been fully activated!
