Background / History

Arrival and early service

Caslo appears after Roland slays an Earth Drake, arriving as a reward with his dragon and immediately reporting to Roland as his lord. At the time, he is an 18-year-old Great Knight whose dragon remains stored in a Dragon Flute. 2

During Roland's early travels, Caslo detects signs of Orc Warg Riders and summons his drake to support the ensuing battle. His aerial attacks devastate the Orc force with wind blades and a tornado, establishing him as Roland's principal airborne combatant. 3

As Roland begins building the Lagrange Kingdom, Caslo serves as his personal bodyguard, scout, courier, and battlefield messenger. He reports enemy movements, surveys the surrounding regions from the air, and assists Roland in training Knight skills. 6 8 40 87

Becoming a Dragon Knight

Caldo evolves into a Storm Dragon, unlocking bloodline memories and allowing Caslo to understand Common Dragon Language and Wind Dragon Language. Caslo explains that a Dragon Knight's Battle Qi transforms into Dragon Power, giving it traits associated with both martial and magical power. 209

By the campaign to retake Moria, Caslo has become a Fifth Tier Dragon Knight. He and Caldo use dragon breath to provoke and pressure the Balrog, following Omsk's plan to make the enemy fight irrationally. 268

Command, marriage, and mentorship

Caslo takes responsibility for training Lagrange's Griffon Knights, deliberately exposing the inexperienced unit to a Mountain Claw Beast. His methods create conflict with Lavien, but Caslo insists that the kingdom's circumstances do not permit leisurely training. 476
