Roland broke out in a cold sweat at how that brazen bunch had nearly earned him the title of Lagrange's backstabbing king. But from another angle, it showed that these politicians had not lost their touch—the iron-blooded spirit of Junlin remained! Even Roland could not help but be moved by such ruthlessness. Just how desperate had those great nobles who held out until the very end been to launch that suicidal charge in history?
"Settle down. Don't let anyone find out, or the Kingdom's reputation will be utterly ruined. This ends here! Adolf! Contact Nyx and the others yourself, in the king's name and by the king's order!" Roland commanded without room for argument. History had already begun to shift. If they weakened the Elves any further, no one could say where the course of history would lead.
"Yes, Your Majesty!" Adolf Heinrich caught the gravity and warning in Roland's eyes and immediately nodded.
"Whew! We've finally left Lion Territory! Legolas, let's replenish our supplies!" Aragorn smiled at Legolas, the Woodland Elf prince he had met during his travels. (This follows the movie setting. After the Battle of Five Armies, Legolas set out on his travels and met Aragorn.)
"Isn't this Beorning territory?" Legolas glanced around. They had crossed Old Pass and arrived at the Karl Rock ford area, within the bounds of Karlok Town. The Beornings' druids guarded this place against raids by small bands of Orcs.
"Yes, this is Beorning territory!" Aragorn spread out his map, studied it, and nodded.
"Let's go. It's time to bid farewell to our Junlin friends!" Legolas turned to look back at Lion Territory, somewhat wistful.
"That Kingdom is full of vitality! Even a noble family that traveled so far to pioneer new lands possesses such strength and unwavering will..." Aragorn sighed
