Watching Schiller being carried into the emergency room, Batman heard hurried footsteps in the corridor behind him. Oliver and Clark came running over, with Zatanna following behind them. Clark, who arrived first, asked anxiously, "How is he? Is Professor Schiller okay?"

"Not yet known." Batman shook his head again. Clark took a deep breath, stepped forward, lightly pushed Batman's shoulder, and said, "Can you tell me what exactly happened? How did Professor Schiller suddenly..."

Batman was about to speak when Clark cut in first. "Listen, Bruce, I was a little impulsive before. I know this may be complicated, and you aren't the murderer, but since you were there, you should have protected Professor Schiller. He's an ordinary person. That's our responsibility."

Clark relaxed his shoulders and lowered his head. "A university professor never should have been dragged into this. It'll put him in great danger."

Zatanna had set up several portals, nearly exhausting all her strength as she traveled back and forth between the human world, the spirit world, and Hell. At this point, she no longer had the strength to cast any magic.
