Mobius led Loki to a room at the very end of the corridor. The moment he entered, Loki saw an old-fashioned projector playing what looked like a movie.

Loki could not be sure whether it was truly a movie, because the projector was oddly shaped and had nowhere to insert a videotape. It looked much like the machine Helen had dismantled in the locker room, filled with the rough yet mechanical beauty of steampunk.

What clashed with it was the table and two chairs positioned before the wall where the film was projected.

They were clearly products of modern industry, with a touch of European luxury. By Loki's aesthetic standards, they did not match the style of either the room or the building.

Yet Mobius seemed quite fond of the table and chairs. He invited Loki to sit across from him and brought him a drink, saying cheerfully, "The table and chairs in the interrogation room broke some time ago. We had these custom-made elsewhere. They're much more comfortable than those cold benches."

Only after sitting down did Loki realize that the two of them were blocking the projector. Their silhouettes appeared on the wall, while the light shining from the side was somewhat dazzling as well.

Loki saw that beneath such light and shadow, one half of Mobius's face was unnaturally bright, to the point that even the contours of his features were blurred, while the other half was submerged in deep darkness.

Loki's intuition stirred. He felt that this might be foreshadowing something.

Loki lowered his gaze to the drink in the cup. It was opaque and looked like coffee. He took a sip and found the taste somewhere between coffee and tea, slightly bitter but fragrant. Loki happened to be thirsty, so he drained the entire cup
