"When Bat-Cat first came to my house, it was always fighting with Krypton. I tried to break them up several times, but it never worked. Then, for some reason, they made up and even became good friends."

Bruce narrowed his eyes. Clark noticed his gaze, pressed his lips together, and said, "All right, Krypton has some special abilities, just like I do. You can think of him as the animal kingdom's version of me."

"If they stopped fighting, then why did your dog get sick?"

"That was the problem. Bat-Cat went into dreams every day to fight crime. One day, Bat-Cat was slightly injured in a fight and failed to return to his own dream. Instead, he accidentally entered Krypton's dream."

"Krypton saw that his friend was hurt and got angry, so he kept asking Bat-Cat what had happened. Bat-Cat couldn't stand his constant questioning, so he told him about the dream world."

"Krypton had the same abilities and roughly the same personality as me. And he was a dog. Every dog in this world wanted world peace, so over the next few days, he followed Bat-Cat into the dream world."

"Besides Cat City Gotham, where we went before, the dream world had many cities inhabited by small animals. Disasters were happening in many of them. Krypton's sense of justice wouldn't let him stand by, so every night, he and Bat-Cat fought crime in the dream world."

"But Bat-Cat was native to the dream world. Moving around there didn't drain his mind. Krypton was different. He needed rest too, and dreaming so intensely left him mentally exhausted."

"I couldn't persuade him to give it up either, because to him, animals were his kind and needed saving, just as I wanted to save humanity." Clark shook his head and continued sadly.
