Kansas. It was another leisurely morning. Sitting on the ridge between the fields, Bruce looked at the luggage Clark had thrown over, his astonishment almost disbelieving.

"Bruce, I know this may be a little hard for you to accept, but the truth is, you probably have to go back to Gotham."

Before Bruce stood Clark, Constantine, Diana, Hal, Oliver, Arthur, Harley, and Jason in a row, all staring at Bruce's face in unison, like villagers in a starter village watching the hero.

Diana shoved him back a step and looked at Bruce. "Of course, we're not trying to guilt-trip you. We're even more worried about you getting hurt than you are, because if anything happens to you, no one will be able to restrain Schiller at all."
