"Of course. Ben Reilly—and Peter Parker too." Shang-Chi was somewhat surprised as well. He leaned closer and whispered, "What are you doing here?"
"I'm investigating the Black Hand behind the protests. We followed the lead from that murder and ended up here... Oh, right, it was a clue you provided."
"I'm here for the same thing. Officer Juliet is waiting outside."
"Did you find anything?"
"We'll talk once we're outside."
Shang-Chi was clearly a little nervous, but Riley possessed Spider-Man's distinctive quick-witted intelligence. They first went up to the top floor, then took the elevator back down. Riley draped an arm around Shang-Chi's shoulders and headed for the entrance with him. He greeted the receptionist and said, "This delivery guy came to the wrong place. He needs to go across the street, but he doesn't know the way. I'll take him out first. Come on, I'll show you."
The receptionist responded with a gentle smile, but her gaze toward Riley held a trace of conflict and regret. She clearly knew something.
