To communicate normally with the others, Shang-Chi had no choice but to bring a handful of sand to their second base.

In truth, they did not need a base at all. Given the current density of monsters, there was no difference between sleeping inside a building and out on the street. Those terrifying attacks would not weaken just because there were walls in the way.
