Quill and Rocket Raccoon decided to head to a newspaper office not far from New York Central Park. It was an action based entirely on instinct, not careful thought. In fact, neither man nor raccoon seemed capable of careful thought.
Perhaps they had encountered too many dangers during their wandering days. Even in the face of such a terrifying disaster, they could still maintain a relatively relaxed attitude. At least Quill was relaxed—relaxed to a frightening degree.
The reason for this trip was that they had found nothing in New York Central Park, but had discovered the body of a newsstand boss at a nearby kiosk. On him, they found a business card for a newspaper reporter.
The card showed that the newspaper office was nearby. To answer the question of whether society had fallen into panic, Quill and Rocket Raccoon decided to take a look. After all, reporters from these small tabloids had noses like hyenas. They would manufacture chaos even where none existed, so if even a little disorder broke out, wouldn't they exaggerate it and report it immediately?
After arriving at the newspaper office, the two found the archives room without much effort and began rifling through the massive pile of files.
But disappointingly, this seemingly obscure newspaper office was not spreading rumors like some trashy news channels. It appeared to be a travel-focused media outlet, so its location near New York Central Park was not unusual.
Most of its reports concerned travel information around New York. It seemed to cooperate with quite a few hotels, and the papers were packed with advertisements for travel agencies. The man and raccoon searched for ages, only turning up useless introductions to various attractions.
Quill stared at a sample copy of a magazine, checked the date on it, and said,
