Apokolips time, 5:00. Near Apokolips's First Starport.

Helen stared dumbfounded at the scene outside the ship's cabin and stammered, "Now I know why they built the starport so close to the planet. Th-this is a planet?!!"

Everyone else stared solemnly out the window. The reason was simple: what had appeared before them was not an alien planet like Earth, but an indescribable celestial body.

It was a roughly spherical composite structure. It had no obvious atmosphere like Earth's, but instead consisted of multiple shielded containment fields, a shallow surface, a deep surface, and a core still visible from the outside. Most importantly, it was larger than an entire star system.

Long, long ago, Yggdrasil, where the Old Gods had lived, underwent a violent explosion. It was split in two, becoming today's New Genesis and Apokolips, while the Second World where the Old Gods had resided was reborn as the Fourth World.

DC's editors had given Apokolips many different settings. Some described it as existing in an independent world, where any planet seemed as tiny as dust by comparison. Others claimed that all planets in the material world were actually enclosed within New Genesis's bubble, and that the only way to reach those two planets was through Boom Tube passages.

But the Apokolips Helen and the others saw truly existed in the material world. It was just that no one aboard understood universal cosmic scales, and Little Bruce could not possibly interpret the data on Apokolips's structural diagrams without the necessary knowledge. Therefore, much of their previous judgment of Apokolips had been based on common sense.

"Was I just too uncultured?!!" Helen was so shocked she seemed to turn into a statue. Pressing a hand to the window, she shouted, "This is completely unscientific! How does a planet this large deal
