The Galactus Engine followed the signal of that strange purple energy all the way to the universe where the energy had last lingered. Though they did not find the darkened Doctor Strange they had expected, they found several Ancient Ones instead.
The variously dressed Ancient Ones all stared at the Galactus Engine in shock. They had clearly recognized it as a machine forged from the head of Planet Galactus.
One Ancient One, dressed in yellow robes and looking much like the Ancient One from Schiller's universe, stepped forward and offered a salute. Stark flew out of the Galactus Engine and returned the gesture. "Sorcerer Supreme, it is a pleasure to meet you here. May I ask what you are doing here?"
The Ancient One smiled. "By order of the Creator God, we are hunting the culprit who murdered Sorcerer Supremes across universes. We tracked him here, but he escaped. Some of the other Ancient Ones continued pursuing him, while we stayed behind to inspect this universe."
Stark raised an eyebrow. "Is there something unusual about this universe?"
"Across the Multiverse, the one murdering Sorcerer Supremes is none other than an evil Doctor Strange who studied the Darkhold in one universe. He practiced forbidden magic, and the structure of his universe has suffered considerable damage. We are preparing to repair it."
Stark did not press further and instead asked, "Then do you know where he went? We detected abnormal energy in several universes earlier, and we intend to apprehend the culprit as well."
