Schiller stepped up onto the bus, and before he had fully boarded, he caught sight of two pitch-black figures in the glass reflection. He didn't need to guess or think to know they were two Batmen.
Someone had definitely rigged this, Schiller thought. Otherwise, how could I be matched with Joker and Batman so precisely out of more than six hundred people after only two rounds? And this time there are two of them?
Natasha was equally stunned when she climbed aboard.

The driver's seat was blocked by a partition, so they couldn't see what the driver looked like. Schiller took two more steps forward and spotted a youth in a black-and-blue uniform seated behind one of the Batmen. Wasn't that Nightwing?
Could one of the teams be made up of Bat-family members? Which universe's Bat-family was it? And where had the other Batman, the one without a Robin, come from?
As Schiller was thinking, the lone Batman looked at him and said, "Good afternoon, Doctor Schiller."
Schiller's pupils contracted slightly. Then he gently
