The branches of Divine Tree Broccoli Warrior's enormous crown formed powerful fists. Standing in the center of the battlefield, it needed only one punch to send a tree demon flying.
The tree demons formed from thick roots bared their huge mouths and swung arms made of sharp branches as they relentlessly surged toward them. But Divine Tree Broccoli first smashed one with a punch, then swept its right arm across, flinging the three tree demons that had just pounced far away.
Its other arm seized a slender tree demon by the roots, slammed it fiercely against the ground, then wielded it like a weapon and swung it wildly. Branches flew everywhere, leaves scattered, and the tree demons' screams rose and fell in succession.
Once the zombies had mostly been cleared away, the paths to the pond and the graveyard were opened as well. The group split into two teams, each taking charge of a different area and gathering light as quickly as possible.
The area around the pond was the garden gnomes' territory. They were small and not particularly strong, but the most troublesome thing was that they could burrow. The moment anyone got close, they would dig underground and flee, so quickly that no one could even see them clearly.
After flying into the sky, Clark discovered that while they had been dealing with the skeleton zombies, these little creatures had already dug tunnels throughout the entire front garden. They were now digging at the roots of the hall's defensive structures.
They certainly could not use cabbage against them, because the garden gnomes were actually much smaller than cabbages. Bombarding them with wheat was impractical too, since that would damage their own defensive installations.
Cloak could burrow in, but the space was too cramped for it to move properly.
