"Here is an extreme weather update: a heavy fog has swept across the northeastern United States, Ontario and Quebec in Canada, and many other areas. Weather bureaus in multiple regions have issued dense fog warnings."
"According to climate experts, this fog covers an extremely wide area and is expected to last for quite some time. It will severely affect traffic safety. Residents are advised to stay home and avoid travel whenever possible. Flight delay notifications will be sent to passengers' phones by their respective airlines..."
With a click, the television shut off. Nick tossed the remote onto the nearby table, then turned to the agent outside the door.
"So there's no news about San Francisco, Spider-Man can't be reached, and there are no leads on the supernatural incidents in New York State. I just want to know what the fuck you've all been doing this whole time."
With another smack, a pen hit the desktop. Nick pointed outside and said, "Go get Captain America. Tell him to come see me immediately."
About half an hour later, Steve appeared at the door. The moment he saw Nick's expression, he knew his old friend was angry again. Still, that was hardly surprising. Nick was rarely not angry.
"All right, buddy, don't forget you've still got us. If necessary, I'll assemble the Avengers." Steve stepped forward and patted Nick on the shoulder.
"Have you seen Spider-Man lately? We can't reach him." Nick still decided to deal with the most important issue first: Spider-Man's death.
In fact, he had started looking for Spider-Man on his first day here. But that did not mean he could lead a group of agents into someone's home just because he wanted to find them. They were an official organization, not terrorists, much less the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
