Steve let out a deep sigh.
It really was not that he held stereotypical prejudices against researchers, but some people truly could accomplish nothing and ruin everything.
Steve learned from the person in charge that, of the Particle Laboratory's three exits, the cameras at two of them had been broken for half a year. These people could launch a project to create the sun, yet no one could be bothered to fix a few cameras.
But Steve did not give up. He asked to see Doctor Otto's research materials, and the person in charge did not refuse. On the way to the laboratory, he explained.
"After Doctor Otto came here, he continued his research on the Artificial Sun project. He merged its results with our research and achieved considerable breakthroughs."
Steve understood that this was merely a cover story. The Artificial Sun project had made no progress for years, yet it had recently achieved a major breakthrough. Otto's contribution was highly likely to be the reason.
"However, Doctor Otto's development direction for the Artificial Sun differs from ours. He hopes to maintain complete stability with a single ignition, so he has been trying to find an ignition particle. He seems to have made some breakthroughs recently."
Steve recalled what Otto and Peter had said on the phone. It seemed Otto had found this particle and hurriedly called Peter over to see it, but after that, the two of them disappeared.
Otto's research results did not seem to contain anything that needed to be kept secret. Steve quickly obtained the files, but he could not understand them, so he sent them to Nick.
Nick brought in a nuclear physics expert. The final conclusion was that Otto had found a mysterious factor in San Francisco that could serve as the perfect ignition
