"Who do you think did this?" Gray Mist asked in his mind, though he already knew the name Schiller was thinking of.
"Something is very wrong." After a moment of silence, Schiller said inwardly, "The Dark Multiverse is Barbatos's territory. Every inch of it is steeped in his dark energy. Even if he does nothing deliberately, everything will inevitably descend into corruption because of the nature of that dark energy. If he wanted to lure Batman into falling, there were far better ways."
Gray Mist fell silent for a moment, then said, "Like how, when you're in your own home, you don't need to sneak under the bed."
"Exactly." Schiller's gaze went slightly unfocused as he concentrated on the conversation in his mind. "In the Light Universe, the metal was a tool Barbatos tried to use to open a passage through Batman, but that was only because his power could not interfere with the Light Universe on a large scale, so he had to resort to that method."
"But in his own home, the Dark Multiverse, if he wanted the Batmen there, he had plenty of ways to get them. If he thought they were useful, he would not have clung so stubbornly to Bruce. He would have organized them long ago."
"He is the god of the Dark Multiverse. If he truly intended to use overwhelming numbers, no life in the Dark Multiverse could escape his bewitchment. Clearly, he knows that would not work. That is why he would rather secretly send power into the Light Universe than spare the Batmen of the Dark Multiverse a glance."
"But someone else can use them," Gray Mist said. "Not everyone is the ruler of the Dark Multiverse."
"Everything has already happened before it happens," Schiller said philosophically. "The difference between comics
