When Harley, Aisha, and Barry landed from the Speed Force once more, all they saw was a city full of monsters.
"Oh my God." Harley exclaimed. "What the fuck happened???"
"Yeah, is this Gotham City? Why are there so many monsters invading Gotham???"
"That's not what I'm wondering about." Harley said impatiently. "I'm wondering why the fuck all these monsters are green."
Barry immediately turned and glared at her. Harley said, "Don't act like Gotham being full of monsters is anything new. There are two questions now: first, why are these monsters green? Second, why are the people in the middle green too?"
Only after Harley pointed toward a corner of the city did Barry notice that there was actually a group of people there. Just as Harley had said, they were green like the monsters.
"Could it be The Green?" Barry had only ever seen one green monster. "Where's Pamela? How could she just watch The Green invade Gotham?"
"Of course she wouldn't. That means it isn't The Green." Harley said. "The Green is the will of plants. When he appeared before, everything his power manifested was plant-based, but in Gotham City now..."
Barry and Aisha looked closely and found that there really were hardly any plants in the city, not even Vines. These monsters were mostly terrifying animal forms, with towering bodies, powerful limbs, and gaping maws.
"Wait." Aisha suddenly spoke. "Something's wrong."
A glimmer of golden light flashed through her vertical pupils. With a swish, the hazy gray-green glow shrouding their vision vanished.
"This is Green Lantern energy," Aisha said. "This city is saturated with Green Lantern energy, and these monsters were all constructed by Green Lantern rings. But this Green Lantern energy is strange. It's hard to describe."
Both of them looked at her. Aisha closed
