The place where Bat-Tyrant had fallen was the entrance from the manor to the garden. Some low shrubs and raised curbs had been smashed, but everything else was fine, so lunch could proceed as usual.

"No, I suspect he may have suffered a nervous fainting spell. I think a thorough examination is indeed necessary. I happen to know how to operate those instruments, so I'll come with you."
