Batman carefully examined the hole in front of him.

It was not that there was anything interesting about the hole itself. Batman simply felt as though he had seen it somewhere before. Especially when he leaned closer and looked down through its opening, the surreal, dizzying sensation reminded him of another hole.

Batman had been to Schiller's mental world. He knew there was a hole in the floor of Schiller's Mind Palace, and this one looked just like it. According to Schiller, the hole in the floor of his Mind Palace led to the Dreamscape.

So this was also a hole leading to the Dreamscape?

Batman did not think Schiller had made it. Schiller already had his own passage to the Dreamscape, so there was no need for him to dig another one here. This hole had most likely been created by Robin King.

That explained one of Batman's earlier questions: how had Robin King known that Arkham Batman had once killed Joker?

He could not have known in advance that there would definitely be a universe with such a Batman. And even if he did know, how could he have used the Exhaustion Method to pick Arkham Batman out of the endless universes so quickly and precisely?

But if it had been through the Dreamscape, everything made sense. According to Schiller, there were no secrets in the Dreamscape. Everything about humanity was reflected in dreams that mirrored their subconscious.

Joker getting into his head must have kept Arkham Batman from sleeping well for a long time. Dreams were not something he could control, so perhaps information about his dreams had long existed in the Dreamscape, and that information had fallen into Robin King's hands.

Another question arose: how had Robin King entered the Dreamscape?

Batman did not know how
