The new campus was quite far from the old one. More precisely, it was rather remote compared with the main urban area. The drive took over an hour. To avoid further burdening the university's already limited funds, these transport runs generally involved only cargo trucks, with people riding in the truck beds alongside the furniture being moved.
Fortunately, they had moved several office chairs this time. Once secured in place, they could sit on them instead of being jolted dizzy.
There were quite a few professors and students riding in the same truck. Schiller, Victor, and Anna squeezed into one corner.
"It's hard to imagine we'd ever ride in a vehicle like this," Victor said with a smile as he sat on a cushion. "Especially you, Professor Schiller. I told you that you should wear sportswear today."
Of the three, only Schiller was still wearing his suit. But he protested with complete confidence, "I'm not even wearing a vest or suit suspenders today. I think my shirt is already wrinkled like the surface of the Earth."
The other two laughed, and then they began discussing the financial situations of the people around them. As expected, no one was doing particularly well, and that group even included people they had previously considered wealthy.
"Wayne Enterprises has run into cash-flow problems," Anna said with a sigh. "When I worked as their data consultant before, I noticed that their cash flow was already hanging by a thread. Their risk resistance was very poor, and they invested too much in the Gotham architectural modification project early on, so they still haven't fully recovered."
"Has their cash flow broken?"
"If they don't inject fresh blood soon, probably," Anna said, shaking her head. "But it isn't surprising. He's still much richer than we are, but a
