Shivan clutched his eyes and collapsed to the floor, twitching. Blood began to pour from his eye sockets as he kept clawing at his eyelids, leaving fine scratches behind.

In spiritual vision, something within his eyes began responding to that evil power, seeming eager to burst forth, while Shivan desperately tried to hold back the power trying to escape.

But much like the principle of diffusion, energy at a higher concentration would inevitably spread toward areas of lower concentration. Stimulated into reacting, the Seven Deadly Sins were no longer content to remain within the same energy core and began extending their tendrils outward.

Shivan heard a soft thump. Through his utterly blurred vision, he looked up and saw a black object before him, with Schiller's shoe tip behind it.

It was an umbrella.

The instant he saw the umbrella, Shivan calmed down. Not because he no longer wanted to move, but because he could no longer move. The incomparably complex yet strikingly clear writing on its canopy drew all his attention.

The moment his gaze fell upon the umbrella, the power of the Seven Deadly Sins within his eyes could no longer be restrained. It surged out in full force and rushed toward the umbrella.

One evil shadow after another cheered and raced toward the umbrella, delighted as though they had found a new home. Shivan kept screaming and reaching in that direction, trying to reclaim the power that had already drained away, but it was futile.

The vision on one side gradually blurred and darkened. He knew he had permanently lost an eye, along with the power that would have made those damned people who said he was unworthy pay the price.

But it seemed that someone, somewhere, had heard his thoughts.
