A figure walked into the hospital room. Shivan stared at Raven in shock. Raven shook her head, walked over to sit beside Schiller, and pulled an apple from the gift bag.
"Weren't you kidnapped?"
"Who could kidnap me?" Raven snorted. "I ran away on my own. I was scared half to death."
"Who told you to go digging through my refrigerator?" Schiller frowned at her. "I warned you."
Raven scrunched up her face and said nothing, sitting there and chewing on the apple. After a long while, she finally said listlessly, "Sorry, I didn't mean to. I was just too curious."
Schiller sighed.
In truth, the moment he saw the signs of an explosion in the room, he knew Raven had probably escaped on her own.
And that was indeed what had happened. Schiller had gone to the post office, leaving Raven home alone. It was much safer than the middle of the night, so Raven wanted to see what was in the refrigerator again.
She had never been this curious before, but for some reason, some feeling kept urging her to open the refrigerator, making Raven unbearably restless.
