The farming that followed went fairly smoothly. The seeds sprouted soon after they were planted. Star Lord, whom Schiller had invited over, brought two rounds of rain, while Clark and Magneto fertilized the soil at the right time. The corn seedlings changed by the day.

Besides corn, they also planted wheat, though they did not hold out much hope for it since it was the wrong season.

Another important task was building greenhouses to grow vegetables. Mutants needed vitamin C and fiber too, after all, and vegetables were indispensable.

Given Mexico's climate, they could have grown vegetables outdoors, but the Andromeda galaxy was another matter. The planet Magneto had chosen was a little too cold, and vegetables were particularly delicate and fragile. In the end, they still had to build greenhouses. Magneto could use the opportunity to learn how to construct one.

Building large greenhouses was rather troublesome. Clark picked out a plot of land, and the locals helped find a construction company. But because of the climate, few people here had ever built such things. Mistakes piled up at first, and Clark rose early and worked late supervising the site.

After observing for a while, Magneto decided he might as well use magnetism to transform an entire planet's ecosystem directly. This sort of thing was far too troublesome.

Only then did Clark realize that Magneto's control over magnetism far exceeded his imagination. If he could use magnetism to reshape the environment directly, why not?

But Magneto had his own concerns. Environmental transformation could not be accomplished overnight. Forcibly altering a planet's magnetic field would trigger a chain reaction. In severe cases, it might even cause the planet to break apart. There were not many planets with suitable locations and sizes to begin with; ruining a few more would be
