"Stop playing dead. We don't have much time." Schiller shouted at the agent lying on the ground.
The other man did not move.
"Get up, Blue Dog."
The man shot upright, then looked at Schiller suspiciously. Blue Dog was usually an insult for United States police officers, though it was sometimes used for agents too, since their uniforms were all dark blue.
Anyone who used that term to insult cops and agents was obviously a certain kind of person.

"An ordinary medical student. Stop standing around and come help me." Schiller bent down and lifted Garrett.
"You killed him?"
"Not yet. He isn't dead."
The agent's eyes widened in disbelief as he looked at Schiller, then at Garrett's throat, which had been completely pierced through.
Schiller sighed as he hauled the man up. "He dared to hunt you down so openly. Do you think he's ordinary?"
"You mean he's actually a Superpower User?"
"I mean he's the kind of idiot who injected hundreds of chemical compounds into his own body and turned himself into neither man nor ghost, all just so he could live longer."
The agent choked on his words. The instant Schiller picked Garrett up, he knew the man was not dead. Of course he was not dead—otherwise, Schiller could not possibly encounter him again in the future.
The Garrett from the comics was an antihero, but the Garrett in Schiller's universe was clearly more like the television version. In that show, he had given himself plenty of injections, apparently hoping to live as long as Nick and Natasha. Killing him by ordinary means would be difficult.
Fortunately, he still obeyed the rules a carbon-based
