The stadium for the football game was shockingly hot, but the heat source didn't come from the sun; it came from hormones. As the strong football players entered the arena one after another, deafening cheers and screams erupted from the stands.
Strange frowned, using a head tilt to block one ear, clearly annoyed by the noise. Schiller, however, sat steadily in place with his legs crossed, calmly reading a newspaper.
Renee in the back row tossed him a bag of potato chips, leaned over his shoulder, and asked, "What are you reading? Surely not the stiff economic news?"
"No, social news. Manhattan hasn't been very peaceful lately." Schiller shook his head and said with a worried expression, "You girls shouldn't go out at night lately. I heard there's a serial killer about."
Renee immediately snorted and puckered her lips, but quickly showed an interested expression. She said, "How do you suppose those serial killers who target women pull it off? I bet they must be very handsome, otherwise how could so many women fall for it?"
"That makes some sense." Schiller nodded and said, "The police conclusion in the newspaper also stated that no tracking or surveillance was found, which suggests the culprit might not be some creepy stalker."
"Then they have only themselves to blame." Renee shrugged and said, "They lack vigilance. They lose their minds the moment they see a handsome guy, unaware that if they just walked a few more steps, there are plenty of handsome fellows right here on campus."
Schiller smiled with pursed lips, turned his head to look at her, and said, "Like Captain Alex? Did you two hook up?"
"Hmph, he's all outward show and no substance, way too far off." Renee cast her eyes aside, just in time to see Strange staring
